Chris Kindelspire is a 30-year member of the fire service. As a member of the FirstNet Authority Stakeholder Collaboration team, he supports execution of experiential engagements. Most recently, Chris served as Director of Electronic Operations at Grundy County Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB). With the ETSB, his responsibilities included the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of land mobile radio systems, 9-1-1, microwave, power systems, tower sites, and the consolidated dispatch facility. He is a State of Illinois Type III Communications Unit Leader (COML) and Communications Unit Technician (COMT), Chairman of both Region 54 700 and 800 MHz Regional Planning Committees, one of two Local APCO Frequency Advisors for Illinois, participates on multiple National Public Safety Telecommunications Council working groups, current chairman of the LMR-LTE Migration Committee and member of the Department of Homeland Security Project 25 Compliance Assessment Program Advisory Panel. Chris is also a member of the Illinois’ State Interoperability Executive Committee serving as chair of the Governance Sub-Committee, Chris has had the pleasure of being an invitational speaker nationally as wells as internationally on a variety of topics.
