Rincon Tribe of Luiseño Indians
Joshua Keliikoa, Public Safety Manager at the Rincon Tribe of Luiseño Indians brings a wealth of knowledge from his extensive law enforcement and military experience. Josh began his career in 1997 and served in a variety of military assignments and recently departed the Washington State Department of Corrections Extraditions Unit. His experience as a Military Liaison Officer strengthening defense support among civil authorities for operations with tribal agencies in incidents while working with state, local, federal emergency operations centers. Josh oversaw joint operations centers for the military to bridge two worlds together. Josh has worked in federal civilian capacity with the U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Federal Reserve, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Justice, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs law enforcement divisions.
He maintains military certification for wildland firefighting, and is ready and poised to serve the citizens of this country being well rounded in multiple disciplines. Josh graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the John Hopkins University of epidemiology for public health, the Sergeant Majors Academy. Josh holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Washington. He understands the impacts to tribal communities that he supports in professional aspects as well as being a culturally involved as a Native Hawaiian.
